Designing for the 'Aesthetics'
I know my way around Canva so, if you can think it, I can design it.
I am a designer.
Like many small business owners, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign were not only out of budget, but completely overwhelming. I didn’t have the time or funds to invest in learning such a complex system. Thankfully, I was not alone in this.
Canva co-founder and CEO, Melanie Perkins felt the same frustration, which is what led her to create “a platform that would make graphic design accessible and easy for everyone.” And I am all for supporting a billion dollar woman-owned business.
Over the past several years I have refined my design skills creating social media creatives, eBooklets and PDFs as lead magnets, presentations, brochures, and more.
My social media expertise lies heavily in Instagram, but I am versed in LinkedIn, Facebook (Meta), X (formerly Twitter), Pinterest, and TikTok.
While my filming skills are…flimsy, I discovered I am wonderful at combining video and visuals to create a compelling reel that suits your brand and voice.
I also have experience with stories, single image posts, and carousel posts creating content that is educational, eye-catching, and eloquent.

Social Media Creatives
The core of design work is branding. Figuring out the right fonts, colour palette, and what I call “aesthetic,” because we’re all pulling inspiration from somewhere. A branding deck captures what your brand is and isn’t.
I can also utilize my writing skills and determine your brand’s tone and voice so that everything you put forward to your audience is strong and cohesive.

Branding
Despite the accessibility of the internet, everyone likes to take something home with them, even virtually. This is where downloadable content and PDFs come in handy.
From How-To content to a showcase of your products or services, a PDF package you can quickly email to interested parties does wonders for your lead generation. Bonus points if it’s beautifully designed and captures your audience's attention.

I adore creating websites. I love all the intricacies involved in creating a presentable, cohesive website that highlights your brand and business. From the photography, to the copywriting, to the scroll effects I can help you bring your website to life.
As for web design platforms, I have experience with Wix (my personal preference), Shopify, and Squarespace. I do love learning so if you have a different platform you wish to use, I’m more than happy to jump in.
